Ha. who said i couldnt make a wedding cake?! ok so its not up to scratch just yet....but not bad for my first go. im not happy with the icing being a little lumpy..lol... but other than that i think its ok. and the bride to be loved it. the top and bottom tiers are sponge cake with butter cream and fruit jam filling, and the middle tier is chocolate sponge with a chocolate buttercream filling. all three tiers have sweetheart sweets around the base of each and the topper is made of sugar roses. but lemmie tell you that the dowling part was not as easy as it seemed lol cos i got into a bit of a pickle when it came to adding each layer and keeping the icing free of crumbs! top tier is 8 inches middle tier is 10 inches and the bottom tier is 12 inches. that was a lot of baking considering that each tier has two cakes to it and they each take 1 hour 30 mins to bake lol.
