As promised a piccie of my babys Tinkerbelle (white & grey tabby) & Yoshi (black, brown & white)

well... life in last couple of weeks has been intresting! we have managed to get our hands on two really cute lickle kittens :) we have one boy (Yoshi, think mario lol he's black with a white belly and 4 white legs and the most tiniest tail) and one girl (tinkerbelle who is grey and white tabby) we only ended up with both because the lady said that they were the last two kitties and she only wanted them to go as a pair because Yoshi was the littlest of the litter had had got rather attached to Tinkerbelle, Tinkerbelle plays mummy to Yoshi :) they have very different personallitys.... Tink is a phsyco and runs about pretty much all day long and plays with anything that moves...including my poor toes. and yoshi is a lazy bugger who likes to curl up on your lap and go to sleep then when he's awake he eats everything in site lol but in other ways they are very much the same ... like when they both sit in the kitchen watching the washing machine go round and round and round.... they sit there all the way through a 45 min cycle, apart from when yoshi falls over cos he's dizzy!

on another note , mike is taking his driving test on wednesday....boy is he stressed out lol im supprised he hasnt jumped the pizza man to give him an extra driving lesson! cross your fingers for him!

haha this photo makes me giggle every time i look at it. this is my son Zac and my Niece Ellie at her prince's and princess's birthday party yesterday, ellie sure looks like shes thinking "looks like ive pulled" lmao. Prince Zac Charming and Princess Elllie Bell. has a nice ring to it dont you think :)

Ha. who said i couldnt make a wedding cake?! ok so its not up to scratch just yet....but not bad for my first go. im not happy with the icing being a little lumpy..lol... but other than that i think its ok. and the bride to be loved it. the top and bottom tiers are sponge cake with butter cream and fruit jam filling, and the middle tier is chocolate sponge with a chocolate buttercream filling. all three tiers have sweetheart sweets around the base of each and the topper is made of sugar roses. but lemmie tell you that the dowling part was not as easy as it seemed lol cos i got into a bit of a pickle when it came to adding each layer and keeping the icing free of crumbs! top tier is 8 inches middle tier is 10 inches and the bottom tier is 12 inches. that was a lot of baking considering that each tier has two cakes to it and they each take 1 hour 30 mins to bake lol.

It was my little sister kirsty's birthday on march 5th , so i made her a sponge cake...and guess what?....the people that ate it are still alive!

<<< my attemp at a sugar rose spray. theres three '5 petal Roses' and one 'Lilac Carnation' three wired 'rose leaves' and some loops of ribbon to add more detail. the flowers and leaves are completly edible.......yum.

<<< This is my second go at making edible sugar roses , i think they look more realistic but im still not happy so i'll keep on practicing! as you can see my green paste arrived this morning :) watch this space....

ok so maybe i take on too much in one go but....i decided to have a go at making edible cake decorations....and maybe ulimatly weding cakes. this all started from my friend donna is getting married in september and we decided to try and keep the costs down and do most of the stuff we could. So far ive done the invitations, cake boxes, butterfly favour boxes & heart shaped chocolates to go in them, and now the Sugar Roses for her Wedding Cake....not bad for a couple of weeks of planning huh.
<<<< My Sugar Rose is made from edible flower paste (known as sugar paste) and is kinda like icing... that hardens when left to dry. when dry its attached to the cake with a little edible glue or icing piped onto the cake using a piping bag. yeah i know that the leafs are lilac...lol..... im still waiting on my green paste to arrive so i tried it with lilac paste to see what it would look like!

Hmmmmmm *thinking* i should work on my photography skills lol
the photo is of 4 rather large milk chocolate hearts all wrapped up in a celophene bag and tied with silver and lilac curling ribbon, i thought these would make a very nice touch as wedding favours or to place onto plates at a wedding reception party.
only thing left to do is work out how much they cost me to make...

Well this is my first attempt at making chocolate......and frankly its laughable! but im sure with practice they will get better :)
from left to right theres a milk chocolate wedding cake a white chocolate bride and groom a milk chocolate heart and lastly a white chocolate wedding cake. im planing on starting up a new website that sells everything to do with all the small details of a wedding ie, Invitations - Jewellery- wedding favours- Table Decoration - Center peices - gifts for the parents, bestman & bridesmaids...etc. wish me luck...lol

This is my last project......i made a dress! lol , see that sewing machine did come in handy! im sorry for the poor quality of the pic, it was taken with a phone camera. the girl in the piccie is Lisa my cousan and she needed the dress for the xmas panto she was a princess in , the dress isnt actually finished in this pic but you get the gist!

I thought id share a few piccies that have been taken in the last few months.......this is Zac with chickenpox...poor boy looked twice as bad as this by the time the spots had finished popping up all over the place! oh and luke looked as bad too lol im supprised that they both had it at exactly the same time.

Mikes learning to drive....yay! freedom at last. the lady in the piccie is Judith, Mike's driving instructor and the car hes learning in. yep he's got a woman to teach him. bye bye to all the would be 'woman driver' jokes, cos she would proberbly tell him to do an emergancy stop with outout his seatbelt on if he told one. hehe

wow it actually grew!...(and didnt die!) this was one of the things that luke and zac got for xmas and i truely expected it to die with in a day....but the kids would be really upset if i'd acidentaly killed it...lol.....so ive been paying much attention to it, and it looks like i pulled off :)

Wow dont we all look so happy...Im still half asleep, Mike's doing his best "yo yo yo" impression, Luke's sulking cos i told him he's gotta eat his veg and Zac just looks plain drunk....hes not i promise, its lemonade in his cup :p
